Shoreline Clean-Up

When hazardous materials enter a marine environment, considerable effort may be required to contain and clean the impacted areas. It is essential that planned response measures are undertaken quickly.

The shoreline cleanup requires responders to make a rapid evaluation of the degree and type of contamination as well as the length, nature and accessibility of the affected shoreline.  The environmental sensitivity of the shoreline must be taken into account to ensure the planned level of cleaning will not cause more harm than leaving the pollutant in place.

Waterways Environmental personnel have the knowledge and have demonstrated the experience to select the most appropriate clean-up techniques.

Our trained personnel along with well-maintained equipment and vessels enable our response to a disaster to be timely and cost efficient.
